Brynn Sanders
Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development for Affordable Equity Partners (AEP), Brynn Sanders focuses on upholding and expanding investor relations across the United States.

Prior to joining AEP, Brynn gained over 10 years of experience working in the tax credit industry. After graduating from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and emphasis in finance, she went on to gain her Master of Business Administration degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She then began her career as an asset manager for U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation where she was responsible for the group’s $1.5 billion state and federal New Markets Tax Credit program.

After working at U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation for five years, Brynn became Vice President of Advantage Capital’s firm structuring group for four years and then was Vice President, Fund Management, of New Markets Support Company for two years. In both of these positions, Brynn specialized in growing New Markets Tax Credit funds. As Vice President of Advantage Capital’s firm structuring group, Brynn and her team facilitated $300 million of investments that created more than 2,400 permanent jobs in local low-income communities.

Brynn is a St. Louis Business Journal “40 Under 40” award recipient and active in numerous civic and business organizations. She has volunteered for Voices for Children, an organization that advocates for abused and neglected children in St. Louis.  Brynn has also been a judge for Arch Grants, a nonprofit organization that is building new economy by providing grants to local entrepreneurs, and an Advisory Board Member for Advanced CapAccess, an organization that focuses on bringing the maximum attainment of New Markets Tax Credits to underserved areas.
