University of Missouri Investment Group 2019 Chicago Trip

JES Holdings has a strong relationship with the University of Missouri through the Jeffrey E. Smith Institute of Real Estate and Capital Markets, and has the opportunity to invest in students’ success throughout each year.

This year, students from the University of Missouri Investment Group (UMIG) traveled to Chicago, Illinois. UMIG is a student-run organization that is sponsored by The Jeffrey E. Smith Institute. The Institute funds many of the group’s activities, including trips and Wall Street prep courses, in an effort to help these highly motivated students find internships or full time positions in the investment banking industry.

With the help of the Institute, UMIG was able to go on their trip to Chicago to network with professionals in the industry. Students visited professionals from the following firms: Livingstone Partners, William Blair & Company, Bank of Montreal, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Slalom Consulting and Wintrust Financial.

The above companies spent time with UMIG’s students, described their industries and answered students’ questions in order to help guide their futures in the industries.
