National Women’s Equality Day at JES Holdings
On National Women’s Equality Day, JES Holdings and our family of companies would like to recognize all of the amazing women in our lives and commemorate all that they and women throughout history have worked to achieve.
In the United States, we celebrate National Women’s Equality Day annually on August 26. This is a significant day in history as the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote in the United States, was officially signed on August 26, 1920.
This day helps to celebrate the support of equal rights for all citizens and works to create recognition of the past and current struggles for equality.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, on average, almost 47 percent of U.S. workers are women. At JES Holdings and our affiliate companies, 67 percent of our employees are women, and we are proud of all of these wonderful women and men that make up our companies!
